“Health isn’t a destination—“it’s a daily relationship, an ongoing conversation with myself.”

Cindy, based in Germany, has had a long and challenging journey with diabetes, but through it all, she has kept a positive and cheerful disposition. Diagnosed at a young age, she struggled for years to find a treatment that worked for her highly sensitive body. She tried many things—disposable syringes, insulin pens, various pumps, and countless types of insulin—but nothing seemed to help regulate her glucose levels.

“Back then, continuous glucose monitors weren’t an option,” she recalls, “and my levels were just uncontrollable.” It wasn’t until she started using Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) that she finally found peace in her daily routine.

“It taught me to listen to my body more closely,” she says. “Health isn’t a destination—it’s a daily relationship, an ongoing conversation with myself,” she says.

Cindy says many people believe diabetes is just about avoiding sugar or watching what you eat. “But that’s such a small part of the story,” she says. She highlights how stress, hormones, sleep, and even weather can impact glucose.

“It’s overwhelming at first,” she says to those newly diagnosed, “but you’ll learn, adapt, and grow stronger than you ever imagined. You are not alone in this. And you are always allowed to ask for help.”

As an advocate, Cindy’s message is clear: Diabetes doesn’t define you—it’s just one part of your story. Through her content on Instagram and TikTok, she educates and empowers others by sharing the realities of living with diabetes. Her posts offer practical tips on diabetes tech and show how she navigates daily life with confidence and humor.

Resilient, empowering, and evolving—those are the words Cindy uses to describe her life with diabetes. And through her advocacy, she’s helping others feel seen, supported, and inspired to take charge of their own health journeys.
